The northwest is experiencing a powerful windy and rainy storm today. In its honor from the book, A Year Full of Poems by Zaro Well:
From My Window
The waters fall in rectangles
Cities sprout umbrellas
Clear water paints a blurred picture
Tear slide from afternoon branches
Dirt breathes a deep sigh of mud
It’s raining today
That poem inspired me:
rain splatters windshield
swish -swish swish-swish-swish rhythm
syncopated drive
Elaine at Wild Rose Reader is hosting Poetry Friday.
Happy Reading.
