Poetry Friday: National Donut Day

Today is National Donut Day.   This event started in 1938 by the Salvation Army to help the needy during the Depression while honoring women who served donuts to soldiers in World War I.

So to honor National Donut Day:

Which to choose:
French crueller, maple?
mouth waters
I bite into a morsel
toroidal heaven

What’s your favorite donut?

Poetry Friday is held at Carol’s Corner.

Happy Reading.
