It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

I am getting ready for my poetry novel workshop in April by reading the work of Kelly Bingham and Helen Frost. One month from today I will be at the Highlights Foundation with them.

I have read other books by Helen Frost but am not as familiar with Bingham’s work.

I finished Don’t Feed The Boy by Irene Latham. It’s a story that gathers you up from the first page. Latham’s writing is fluid and poetic, hard to put down. A boy living at the zoo, how fun would that be? Remember there are always two sides of the coin.

Happy Monday.

  1. I haven’t read many of Helen Frost’s but some-very good. Shark Girl looks wonderful (I looked up the review), the interesting way it’s put together. It’s terrific you will get to work with them Jone. And I loved Don’t Feed The Boy by Irene. Great story. I’m reading Bomb now, & looking forward to The False Prince. So many seem to like it, so I hope I do, too! Thanks!

  2. I don’t know either of these authors! But how exciting that you get to meet them. I like to do my research and read ahead of time if I’m going to meet authors, too. Sounds like it will be a great experience!

  3. Shark Girl has been on my tbr list forever.MUST get to it! LOve, love, love Don’t Feed the Boy. Wasn’t what I expected, but ended up being so much more!
