Today Poetry Friday is Diane Mayr’s Random Noodling.
I have November on my mind and have a shadorma to share:
November
Gunpowder grey
Leaves scuttle
along streets
Hot cocoa as the rain falls
Simple abundance
Happy Friday.
Happy Poetry.

November is certainly my least favorite month, and largely because of the features you point out: greyness, leaves all over the place, and cold rain. Of course, you gave it that nice warm twist!
I don’t know this form. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. What a beautiful description of November. It was 81 degrees here today.
I didn’t know this form either! “Leaves scuttle” is a phrase I’m always looking for an excuse to slip into stories. Love your “gunpowder grey” and the warmth of that cocoa. Thanks for sharing!
What’s a shadorma?
