Poetry Friday is held today at Catherine Johnson
School Garden
We
planted
a garden.
Outside lessons
in perimeter
and area. We
learned about dirt. It felt
damp, silky smooth with wiggly
worms. We watched as seedlings sprouted
like little edible tree forests.
We planted a garden. Community.
Happy Friday.
Happy poetry.
A lovely tribute to a valuable learning place — I love the school garden movement!
Great metaphors too. Super poem.

I am triple-busy in the summer between my home garden, our school land lab, and the Environmental Club’s plot in the community garden at the apartments on the other side of our soccer field.
I love learning about dirt, and trees, and little edible forests! 🙂
