Thank you, Katie at The Logonauts for hosting Poetry Friday.
Found this great poem in The Poetry Friday Anthology for Science.
What a wonderful companion poem for this book, What the Dinosaurs Did Last Night by Refe and Susan Tuma. it’s a Washington Children’s Choice Book Award nomination.
Happy Friday.
Happy Poetry.
What a fun poem! My daughter is a biochemistry major and would love it. I’m sure she would agree that dinosaurs should have paid attention to lab safety.
Very cool! I got that book for my son’s science teacher and she loves it!
HA! My goodness, though, a bit of a dire warning – pay attention to safety in the laboratory or you risk extinction! 😉
That is hilarious. I’m imagining dinos doing dissections now. Looking at plankton through microscopes.
Such fun! I’ll have to pass this along to my colleagues in the science department.
What a funny premise for a poem.
Very cute, Jone. It’s a clever thing to be able to kid about science, and make sense too. Kids will love it.
This is terrific. The PF anthologies are chock full of so many fun poems that I haven’t come across this one yet. Thanks for sharing!
Ha! Fun. I must pass that on to my science teachers!
Great! It’s definitely one to pass along 🙂
I need to go back and read all the PFAs! I didn’t remember this one.
It’s one of the “Lab Safety” poems in The Poetry Friday Anthology for Science (Teacher/Librarian Edition) or The Poetry of Science (Student Edition). I would tell you the page number(s) except I gave my last copies away yesterday!
Love this entry. Thanks, Jone, for sharing.
Kristy Dempsey is so immensely talented–such a wide range of voices in her writing!
