For our last student on our last day of April, I share the poem by Ashlyn. Modeled from the William Carlos Williams poem, “This is Just to Say.”
She loves softball, can you tell? She was a student who also wrote a response.
This is just to say…
I am so sorry for jabbing you in the gut
With a softball
I just love to hit line drives
And I do have nickname for a reason
Crash is my nickname
For one I crash a golf cart
Two I crash the ball very hard when I hit
Sorry
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ok
I except
But it hurt
A lot
So this means you give me
Your double fudge chocolate
Cake
Ok
Today at The Poem Farm, Deontae’s poem postcard was featured.
So there you have it until next year.
