Poetry Friday: Featuring Student Work
Thanks to Robyn for hosting Poetry Friday this week.
A fifth grader shared her poem with me this we. She told me I could use it today.
Cherry blossoms
pink flowers sprouting
up from the ground petals
falling from the trees
life is delicate
just like a cherry blossom flower
life ends fast
i just started kindergarten
the cherry blossom trees give me comfort
i’m determined now
petals falling off the trees
dancing toward the deep green grass
falling all around
